A getaway cabin in Arpainen

Traces of hideaways and underground huts have been found in Arpainen.

One of these hidden habitats was Oskari Tupala’s Getaway Cabin in 1932 (pictured). It is said that Oskari was hiding in Arpainen to get away from having to pay alimony, although the story has it that he had to make good on all of it by labour in the end.
